About the Instructor – Ross Ding
Ross Ding is a highly experienced Tai Chi instructor based in South London and Surrey, offering authentic Tai Chi classes for beginners and experienced students alike.
Born in Jiaozuo City, Henan Province—the birthplace of Chen Taiji Quan—Ross began his martial arts journey in childhood with Shaolin Gong Fu. Since 1993, he has dedicated himself to the study and practice of traditional Tai Chi, training extensively in Chen, Yang, and Wu styles, including both hand forms and classical weapon forms.
His training has been guided by world-renowned masters, including Grandmaster Li Hesheng (1926–2015), Grandmaster Zhang Qilin, Grandmaster Zhang Zhijun (1946–2024), Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang, Grandmaster Chen Qingzhou (1934–2015), and Grandmaster Ma Hailong (1936–2022).
Alongside Tai Chi, Ross has studied a range of internal martial arts and health practices, including Qi Gong, Ba Gua Zhang, Xing Yi Quan, and Tong Bei Quan. This depth of experience allows him to offer traditional Tai Chi training that supports modern needs—helping people improve balance, mobility, and overall wellbeing.
For over 15 years, Ross has been teaching Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes in South London, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for students of all ages and abilities. Whether you are looking for Tai Chi for stress relief, better posture, or gentle exercise, his classes provide a practical and enjoyable way to build strength, calm the mind, and restore energy.
